Designing For A Sewer System Set

I have chosen to create a 1:10 scale sewer system that will represent live during the 50 year long war from Kazuaki Kiriya's film named "Casshern". "After 50 years of bitter warfare". My aim is to create a model of what during the bitter war was like, and what people did to take refuge for such a long period.

The narrative for the story I aim to create is that the war begins between the Eastern Federation and Europas Army. The civilians seek shelter underground where they find the only place safe being the underground sewage system, this is where they make their home for the 50 year long war, due to the the ground above being uninhabitable and dangerous. Civilians adapted the sewer system to cater for their needs through home furnishings, cookery, and even washing facilities.

Now we see the empty remains of what was. How they used to live through the now abandoned sewer system. The things/ belongings left behind by its once inhabitants.

I aim to look into modern homelessness and poverty, to see what it would be like to have lived in such harsh conditions during a very dangerous time.
