Through experimenting with different materials, I have aimed to create an old weathered looking brick wall. From using a toothbrush to stones, created impressions of cracks and imperfections. Other materials I have experimented with are tin foil, dental tools, blunt objects, ball paint edges, nail point tool. Dental tools (Top Right) are good to create a cracked effect, or crumbled look. The Ball pointed nail tool is great for a worn away look especially around the edges. What I have found to be the most effective material to use is the small stones (Top Left), I used a piece of wood to roll the stone over the foam, changing their position each time, this creates an eroded effect.
