I drew up a technical drawing in scale 1:50 of the layout of the tunnel, designating areas to different sections such as Communal Area, Kitchen, Medical Room, Living Quarters, Decontamination Zone and more.

To begin the practical making of my tunnel, using my technical drawing. I was able to get a rough estimate of how many rings/stands I would need for the whole tunnel. I used the same method as before with making the rings however, adapted it to be more material sufficient. Instead of cutting one big ring out of one piece of wood, I cut the rings up into sections which would connect to each other via a jigsaw piece, with the design as the children's wooden train set. This allowed me to fit far more onto one piece of wood than before.

To connect the rings I used Gorilla wood glue, along with a the original piece of wood I had the first ring cut out of, this became my template to allow the rings to sit in the same position each time I made them.

This is how the rings looked once I had glued them all together. I also cut out some extra pieces of wood to act as stands to allow the rings to individually stand on their own which worked using just Gorilla wood glue. Doing this allowed me to make my stencil for where I would like to place the support rings.
I have changed my design slightly, however I still need to make adjustments to the overall plan. I need to make a technical drawing to update the changes I have made.

I have changed the scale that I will be working at to 1:12 this will allow me to source objects from doll houses instead of making absolutely everything inside the model, this should save me some time down the line of making.
I have also have realised that I need to make some thickness to the stands to allow two pieces of foam to meet, I plan to have some slices cut out on Monday and get these glued to the rings ready to begin putting foam pieces together. These will be cut out of 6ml MDF.
