I am aiming to make many accessories to go into my model at 1:12th scale. Some of the items I want to make are books, news papers, bedding, family photos, posters, smashed mirrors, lights and more.
While I was waiting for a few bits to dry, I printed some book covers of some of my favourite books to use as Easter eggs in my model. I printed these out on normal printer paper so that when it is glued and bent it will make the books look aged. Using a thin cardboard I carefully cut out pieces to the size I needed. I scored the centre back of the card to allow it to bend evenly. I thin used a Pritt Stick and glued the cover onto the card. I bend this around to make sure that it was straight. I then trimmed off the excess of the card and glued some of the middles of the books together. Here is how they turned out...

I began marking out my cut lines for my drink cans and food cans. Using a small hand held saw I cut these down to size and sanded the top and bottoms down. I then spray painted the cans with a dark grey metallic paint and allowed them to dry. One dry, I printed some labels, cut them out and then I glued these onto the cans.

I also took some time to spray paint my beer kegs, and oil drums to create a base coat. I aim to create a old worn down and rusty look to the surfaces.
