I had a talk with course leader Gary Thorne and was suggested to try to make wine bottles using wooden dowel and the Lathe machine. This worked quite well however it can be time consuming to make many. They also come out all sorts of sizes which isn't something I particularly like. I attempted to Lathe clear acrylic rod, which didn't work at all, due to how flexible acrylic rod is, it just slipped away from the blade, not allowing any part to be cut. For this experiment wooden dowel worked best.

In the afternoon, I made a session with Rob Roach, a technical technician at UCA Rochester who helped me to create these 3D digital models on Fusion 360 at scale 1:12. I was able to make a wine bottle, beer bottle, beer keg, oil drum, drinks bottle, drinks can, cup and a plate. It is going to take 3 hrs to get this 3D printed, which I am going to begin on Monday.

My next step once I have made these is to mass produce the bottles, cups, cans. I am also considering making a mould of these to allow me to make some from resin.
